LERNER-SAMUELSON TEOREMİ (Proper noun)

T.Lerner ve P.Samuelson tarafından geliştirilen ve monopol durumunda bulunan firmanın tam rekabetten ne kadar uzaklaşıp monopol haline geçtiğini göstermeye yönelik teorem. Lernerin formüllüne göre monpolün derecesini (Y), satış fiyatı (P) ile marjinal maliyet (mm) arasındaki göreli (nispi) fark belirtmektedir.Y = P-mm/PFormülden anlaşıldığı gibi rekabet halinde satış fiyatı marjinal maliyete eşit olacağından pay sıfır olacaktır Yani monopol piyasası meydana gelmemiştir. Satış fiyatı ile marjinal maliyet arasındaki fark arttıkça payın değeri artmakta bu ise piyasada monopolleşme derecesinin yükseldiği anlamına gelmektedir.
